The relentless attacks on immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities sadly continue, and that is why elevating the voices of dissent is so important.
Over the past few months, SAFE has been meeting the challenge. In June, we had boisterously joyous contingents at several Prides. In July and August, the Mentorship Program fully launched with a training of mentors and matching them with mentees. Throughout this entire time, we have been focusing on increasing the reach of our legal assistance program by teaming up with Congregation Beit Simchat Torah and the New Sanctuary Coalition.
This fall, we hope you join us for one of the exciting events coming up, detailed below: a Concert to Benefit SAFE at St. John’s in the Village and a drag queen show co-sponsored by RUSA LGBT at a venue soon to be announced.
Finally, thanks to an anonymous donor, SAFE will receive up to $2,500 for every dollar raised before the end of this year. Help us reach our goal by donating today.
In safety and solidarity,
